Stumar Investigations

When counterfeit boutiques began to sprout on South Street in Philadelphia, Pa., Stumar Investigations was asked by major handbag designers to investigate the allegations of counterfeit products being sold. The counterfeit goods were hurting the companies’ bottom lines and putting out a false impression of the quality of their goods. Stumar compiled a meticulous two month investigation into four legitimate-looking stores, taking the findings to the Philadelphia Police Major Crimes Unit. The result was a raid by police that confiscated close to $500,000 in counterfeit merchandise from high-end designers. Arrests were made and one suspect is being held for deportation to China for a list of previous infractions. The streets were safe for designer goods once again, thanks to Stumar.
